This is a case-study for BAM (Brooklyn Academy of Music) mobile application specifically for their annual Cinema Fest. After conducting some research they have found a large number of their viewers are Android users, so they have decided to lead with an Android application.
Though currently a relatively small festival, they have ambitious plans for it to increase in scale over the next few years. They want this app and its iterations to aid in the promotion of the event, foster BAM’s image of creativity and innovation, and create a product that streamlines the exploration, selection, purchase, and check-in process.
I researched competitors, such as popular film festival and ticketing apps. These apps included Tribeca Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival, Fandango, Ticketmaster and more.
This app provides essential information and functionality for festival goers, who can discover and purchase tickets to the events.
